Meet our Travel Nurse of the Month, Christy! She is an RN who is currently on assignment in the beautiful state of Alaska.
Who or what inspired you to pursue your profession?
My children inspired me to follow my lifelong dreams of becoming a nurse.
What made you go into travel nursing?
The experience! I have only visited about six states and wanted to venture out!
What has been your favorite location for travel nursing so far and why?
Alaska! The snow is beautiful, the locals are friendly, and the hospital has been so welcoming!
What is your favorite thing about travel nursing?
Getting out to try something new without knowing what’s ahead! I enjoy the challenge!
What is one thing you cannot live without while traveling?
Video calls from my family.
What advice can you give others who are interested in travel nursing?
Go for it!! This has been the best adventure yet!
What are the biggest lessons you have learned while working during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Compassion is needed now more than ever.

I love sewing, gardening, painting furniture, and riding motorcycles with my husband. My four dogs keep me busy. I also have three grandchildren that light up my world.
